At Cherished, our mission to support children to feel safe, seen, soothed & secure is driven by our incredible volunteers.

Whether you are interested in supporting children directly through our school courses and workshops, assisting our after-school groups, or contributing by creating resources, your involvement will make a meaningful difference.

As well as offering volunteer opportunities, we also offer placements for students seeking to gain valuable work experience. We encourage individuals to use their strengths within our service. Your time and talents can change lives.

The difference you’ll make

By volunteering with us, you will contribute to nurturing a supportive environment to create a sense of belonging for children we support. You will use your strengths to bring hope, kindness and support to a young person’s life, offering non-judgement and a listening-ear.

In 2023 our Charity was awarded the King’s Award For our Voluntary Service. We received this award because of the outstanding standard that our team of Volunteers deliver throughout our service. Our team last year supported over 1700 children to feel safe, seen, soothed & secure.

Ways To Be Involved

Cherished | Roar Course Leader: Assist in delivering our school-based group sessions.
Blossom | Roar Youth Volunteer: Help facilitate our after-school groups.
Workshop & Event Volunteer: Support the organisation of workshops throughout the academic year, as well as our conferences and events.
Office Support: Assist with administrative tasks and data entry in our office.
Connection Hub: Volunteer at our Connection Hub through a range of roles to support the delivery of our space.
Resource Support: Contribute to the creation of resources for our courses and care packs.
